"The Legend Of Chin" is the beginnings of Switchfoot and right from touch go, they touch and move their listeners.
"The Beautiful Letdown" is by far the greatest of Switchfoot's albums as all tracks are superb.
Switchfoot fly out the door proclaiming that having a relationship with Christ is "the new way to be human."
"Nothing Is Sound" lives up to expectations with plenty of guitar-driven alternative rock bound to keep everyone happy.
This San Diego based surfer band blows down the doors and hits a major sprinter's stride with "Learning to Breathe."
Switchfoot step into a different genre with a bang!   "Oh! Gravity" is unlike all of their previous albums and each song seems to have a mix of many types of music.
SWITCHFOOT
quality music with quality lyrics by a quality band
In Relient K's album, "Relient K," all the songs are fun, the lyrics are great, and the messages are good.   It is obvious that this album is nowhere near as good as their later releases.   But, with the fact that this is their debut album in mind, it's not bad at all.
Remember the guys in your school who were too smart and sarcastic for their own good? Put guitars on them with a punk-pop penchant and you’ve got Relient K.   "Two Lefts Don't Make A Right...But Three Do" is a thoroughly enjoyable romp of rambunctious buzz-saw guitars and smart-aleck lyrics.
Cue pianos and strings and lyrics largely leave behind adolescent concerns in search of greater meaning.   But fortunately, the heavy themes and dark clouds on the "MMHMM" album cover don't spell the end of the band's goofy side!
Not to knock their debut, but The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek makes their first album look like child's play. The overall musicality and songwriting improved TREMENDOUSLY, and the slight cheesiness present in some tracks from the debut is basically gone.
RELIENT K
where do their ideas come from?
This new album, Five Score and Seven Years ago, shows the talent of these Canadian musicians.   The witty lyrics are still evident in this album so all that we love about Relient K is still there.   But, they still managed to change things in their fifth release.   Focusing on redemption, Relient K declares that, no matter what, God can give you another chance.
Thus a giant is born.   Toby's first solo album does not disappoint!   Though dc Talk is nothing to shrug at, a lot of fans will be surprised and delighted at the intensity of this album.   Momentum will keep you moving.
With an "alright, this time it's for real" promise, Toby Mac turns the keys of the ignition and hits the gas on Portable Sounds, his third and most impressive solo effort to date. The musician-producer sounds more confident and comfortable than ever before.
It won't take you long after the opening strains of "Toby's back" from the opening track of Welcome To Diverse City to realize that yes indeed, Toby Mac is back with his second solo effort. The third member of DC Talk is back in the house with another rich blend of rap, soul, pop, and techno.
